Bought in 1980 from motorcycle shop in Kalispell, Montana that was using it as hill climber. With the use of the first “Palmer” How to Restore your Harley Davidson”, owner has tried to put this bike back to original. Wheels have the correct step hubs,rims and spokes are cadmium plated and waxed. All hardware has been parkerized.
95% of this motorcycle is original Harley Davidson parts, some backdated to match this year and model. Original horsehide seat in brown with all original stitching.
Correct front forks. Correct oil bucket I year. Correct horn I year only. Correct ride control. Gas tanks are original to this bike c/w original fittings.
Motor rebuilt, cylinders sleeved back stock and new old stock bottom end installed. An original 4 stud clutch with correct outer primary. Speedo rebuilt and dash correct.
The bike has been started and ran for 10 miles although the odometer reads 0. Owner has many pictures of the process that evolved over 29 or 30 years including the video of the first startup after being dormant for 35 years.
The tires or at least tubes should probably be replaced if you are going to ride any distance as they have been on the bike for about 30 years. Bike is located in Nanoose BC on Vancouver Island.
