One of the most successful motorcycles on the track and in the showroom in the history of English motorcycling, it was certainly BSA’s most successful model. This model is appreciating rapidly in value. The title is in sellers name, clear and unencumbered. The bike is titled by the engine number not the frame number. The title is a 1957 VIN # DBD 34 GS 2522 which is correct for a 57. The frame number is GS32 C 236, which is a genuine Catalina frame for 1959. The gear box is a STD T. The rims are Devon rims with SS spokes, so not original. The rear tire is old and showing sidewall cracks. The carb is a new Amal R 2000 / 300. All the electrics work and most of the fasteners are original and cad plated. There is no battery or battery box (not sure it originally came with one). The battery was the box ? The tank is the small US tank. It is unlined inside and shows minor rusting. Located in Victoria BC.
