It is a replica of a 1958 G-80 CS – albeit built up from authentic Matchless/AJS parts by a former machinist at the AMC factory in East London after it shut down in the 1960s. This information was declared and all the relevant information to ICBC ( British Columbia Provincial license and insurance authority) when Owner applied for a Collector plate 20 years ago and it was approved for collector status. Same owner for 34 years. Top end was done as well as cylinder rings by local British bike guru 20 years ago and the bike has seen very limited use. Never any accidents or never dropped. It has been recommissioned to be offered for sale. The owner has a fairly complete file of all the work that’s been done over the years. The tires are the same as what was on when purchased, but the bike has always been kept indoors, hence no UV damage to the rubber. The owner thinks he has put no more than 3,000 to 4,000 miles on the clock during his ownership. Its basically been just a show bike although one that is also fully functional. Starts easily.

This G80 has low-rise handlebar, a bench-style seat, and a centre stand. The good frame geometry, street use equipment, and responsive suspension are desirable traits on road. Any parts were sourced from the UK. The bike is located in Victoria BC Canada
