This historic collector model is first year of production . Only approximately 5000 Tridents T150’s ( 69-74) and Rocket 3 (69-71) combined where built in each year of production. Triumph immediately introduced a ‘beautification kit  due to negative comments on the basic design so many of the 1969 models where changed to look like Bonnevilles. The Trident excelled on the world’s racetracks where, along with its BSA Rocket 3 counterpart, the T150 trounced all comers on both sides of the Atlantic. They were consider the first true Super bikes. The reputation of the Triumph Trident and it’s sister-bike, the BSA Rocket 3 as racing machines needs no apologies. They were giants in their day and held six speed records. This Trident on offer is a very correct machine, painted the correct colour ( the camera makes it look more blue) . Still has Windtone by Clear Hooter horns and all the other correct fittings except the choke cables have been removed which are not needed. The bike has been dated from the matching engine and frame number and a dating certificate obtained from TR3OC ( Trident Rocket 3 registry) confirming bike is a 1969. The bike was repainted  via a colour match with a new old stock 1969 tank the bike repainted the correct colour. Bike original finally sold in 1971  and the registration was verified and change to the correct 1969. Replaced the 3 carbs with Amal Premiers, replaced the coils, plugs and plug wires.  Bike starts and runs well. Present owner  has replaced the rear brake shoes, new tires, rebuilt the front forks with really good seals and the bike has a Boyer electronic ignition. Have new shoes for the front brake which are not yet installed.  The third owner claims to have freshened the engine (not sure what all he did) and it has no issues. The odometer currently displays 9,375 miles which is probably not the total original mileage though no documentation is included with the sale for verification. Lots of pictures available. Presently on BC Vintage licence plate status. Clear ownership title in seller name. Bike is located in the Vancouver BC Canada area.
