it’s easy to think the first Honda GL1000 Gold Wing in 1975 was a revolutionary motorcycle. It was, in fact, evolutionary, built to appeal to the American bigger-is-better theory. Today, the Honda Gold Wing is an icon for the cross-country touring motorcycle. But back in the day, it was just Honda’s best guess at what Americans wanted in a touring motorcycle. During its development, the CB750 became known within Honda as their “King of Motorcycles”, so Honda’s next big thing would be deemed the GL Goldwing became “King of Kong” of motorcycles.
This bike is in near new condition. All original paint and chrome and only 15,500 original miles. Carbs have been overhauled and synchronized. All lights and switches work. The tires and battery are very good. It also has Dynatec electronic ignition installed. Crash bars front and rear. The color is Sulphur Yellow, only available on the 1976 model. This GL is very fast and smooth and should have many years of riding ahead of it. It will be very hard to find a better original series one Goldwing. Senior owned. and Titled in Qualicum Beach BC Canada
