The Laverda 3CL 1000 sports is an air-cooled, four-stroke, 981cc, in-line three cylinder power plant paired to a five-speed manual transmission that can produce a claimed 100 horsepower at 8000 rpm. In 1975, the Laverda triple gained cast alloy wheels, becoming the 3CL, which was later renamed the Jarama, for the race circuit near Madrid.
